About Us

Save Carrboro Green Spaces is an ad hoc community group that was formed in April 2016 in response to the no-warning commencement of construction of a Google internet relay facility in the woods on the Fidelity Street cemetery land.

It is led by Bob Proctor, who is a member of the mathematics faculty at the University of North Carolina in neighboring Chapel Hill.  He is the principal underwriter of this group’s efforts, and he is responsible for the content of this website.

This project could not have proceeded without the work and the support of many individuals, including Judith, Jim W., Lyle, Ray, Matthew, Lisa, Pamela, Landon, Ellen, Paul, Sam, Liz, Paul, Sammy, Linda, Caren, Kevin, Karin, Delaney, Janine, Carlos, and Taylor.
